Patron Services Associate

Type: Full-time, salaried position

Salary: Low $20,000, commensurate with experience

Time Commitment: Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm. Evening and weekend hours will be necessary during production season, annual special events and education programs throughout the year.   

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A basic understanding of opera, Pensacola Opera, and/or the performing arts industry.
  • Bachelors Degree in related field: Performing Arts, Marketing or Communications preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, with experience in MS Office Applications, primarily Access, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills with superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills with an appreciation for the nonprofit environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • Strong time management skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines consistently.
  • A self-starter with a positive, upbeat attitude.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift items heavier than 20 lbs, no physical restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ticketmaster, or similar ticketing system.

Responsibilities: The Patron Services Associate is primarily responsible for managing all ticket sales, event reservations, and donor and volunteer records for the company. Other responsibilities include managing daily financial transactions and reports, performing daily clerical tasks, and providing general administrative support. As the first line of contact for many of Pensacola Opera’s patrons and the general public, the Patron Services Associate serves as an ambassador for the company and its continued growth, development and success. The Patron Services Associate reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with all other staff and volunteers when supporting particular areas.
