On Christmas Eve in Paris, Rodolfo, a young starving poet, falls in love with Mimi, a beautiful young seamstress, and opera has never been the same. Puccini’s La Boheme is, without a doubt, one of the most popular operas ever written. With its thrilling, beautiful music and its mixture of high comedy and serious drama, the opera sweeps the viewer away into a world of young love, a world of romance, and ultimately, a world of sadness. With La Boheme, Puccini wonderfully captures just what it means to be young and alive, offering us a brilliant mixture of lightness and darkness, all set to some of the most romantic music ever written. Join us for this romantic tale in the state-of-the-art Mattie Kelly Fine and Performing Arts Center at Okaloosa-Walton College.

Make an evening -or day - of your ticket to La Boheme by joining us on the Opera Trailways bus to Niceville! All buses depart from the Pensacola Opera Center. Enjoy your trip to Okaloosa-Walton College with complementary refreshments, your fellow patrons, and an informational piece on the opera – meet the performers and learn what to look for in the piece on your way! We have two options for the Friday performance – choose to stay with us for the post-performance Meet the Artists Reception, or head back to Pensacola right after the show, and one for Sunday, which includes our Director’s Brunch!
