The evening features hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dancing and fabulous auction items. Music will be provided by Mr. Big.
In celebration of our Silver Anniversary Season, Silver, Gold and White attire is encouraged. Also, masks are incorporated in our theme, as people love the mystery of wondering who is behind each mask! Masks will be available for purchase at the door.
We will celebrate with a special Silver Anniversary champagne toast that will feature singing by this year’s Artists-In-Residence.
Enter for a chance to win a Rolex Watch from Jeweler’s Trade Shop. You can purchase your chance in advance from a member of the committee, the Opera chorus or from the Opera office. For one chance, the suggested donation is only $10. The winner will be selected at the ball and can redeem a men’s or women’s watch valued up to $4,000! Only 1000 tickets will be sold.

“Would you write home for me?” is what Jean Debelle Lamensdorf, author of “Write Home For Me”, would hear often from injured soldiers while she was an Australian Red Cross volunteer in Vietnam in 1966. According to The Program Review website, Lamensdorf said, “I was neither a nurse, nor girlfriend, nor a soldier’s wife or mother. I knew, though, that it was important for me to be there.” Over dinner, hear Lamensdorf discuss some of her adventures and experiences of the Vietnam War.
